super quick and easy scarf

I've been busy with other things and knitting human things
they take forever, but everyone around me is having babies....

I just threw together a scarf pattern as part of my christmas boxes

1 pair 15mm needles (if you've not got 15mm just use the largest you have, seriously it doesn't make that much difference, this is a pattern that the looser the knit the softer the scarf but after 15mm it goes a bit silly) tension is not important
200g of chunky yarn (worsted or aran weight)

Cast on 30 stitches
R1 knit
R2 Knit (the whole pattern is in garter stitch)
continue until you notice you're running out of yarn, (if you want a longer scarf tie on a second ball and keep going,) bind off!

I made this in just over 1 movie (how to train your dragon which is great to knit to) and am now considering making them for everyone
with just one ball of yarn it is about three foot long and about 12" wide, more than enough to form a nice head wrap AS well as go around the neck and cross over -
as i made this for a gift I'm going to have to make one for myself.
